Today the weather hit 23 degrees celcius in Kingston so needless to say it felt AMAZING (was just zero a few days ago)! We took the opportunity after work to do a walk of our property to both get some exercise and see how “The Ranch” stood up to the harsh winter.
The last few months of renovation have made us both a little frustrated at the process, originally we thought we’d be moving in in April and now it’s looking more like mid to end of summer. But after walking the property today our faith in why we purchased this place has been restored and we couldn’t be more excited for all of the memories we are going to make on our “little” hundred acre slice of heaven.
Here are some pictures from our walk today 🙂
Benny & I enjoying the warm air and our muddy boots.
Parts of an old car found on the property line.
Benny discovering our property line marker on the East side. We hadn’t been down to this part of the property before. At the back of “The Ranch” there is a rock cliff. Fresh water was draining under these rocks and based on the droppings, a porcupine seemed to have made this his home through the winter.
Me, catching the dripping water. I have a thing for all culinary things Mushrooms and for photographing them. My first mushroom pic from “The Ranch”. Our home will likely have some sort of gallery wall with all of my mushroom pics at some point..The land backs onto Colins Lake. This is a pic from the swampier part of our waterfront, the only spot I could get out far enough to get a good shot.
We found a mini waterfall!
Hope you enjoyed the mini-tour of our property!
