Last week Erica had a conference at White Oaks Resort & Spa in Niagara-on-the-Lake, it was my last week living up there so we were lucky enough to be able to spend some time together and stay the night at White Oaks before her meeting the next day. Spas aren’t something that we typically enjoy, but we had heard from multiple people that the food at White Oaks was supposed to be unreal, and being the foodies that we are, that was reason enough to enjoy our stay. We made a reservation at the in-house restaurant called Liv, we were originally going to go for their more affordable alternative called Play Urban Cafe, but we had heard so many good things about Liv we couldn’t resist! And let me tell you, we were not disappointed! We decided to share a bunch of appetizers- romaine hearts salad, P.E.I. mussels, seafood 4x, & tuna tartare- all of which were delicious, but our favourite by far were the mussels, they do them in this creamy, ale-infused sauce with bacon, seriously tasty stuff!
Basically, we’d stay there to eat at Liv again, and the robes and pool time didn’t suck either! (Maybe we’re more into spa-ing than we’d like to admit!)
Here are a few snapshots from our stay there:
